Orig Old Soviet Russian Jacket Army Pioneer No ReserveOriginal soviet russian jacket. World wra ii (? ) arym pioneer insignia. We believe this (heavy, probably veyr warm! ) coat may be wwii vintage. The buttons appear to be the plastic type sent to the soviet nuion during ww2 from the united states through the lend-lease program (our reference is the schiffer book on russian uniforms 1917 1945). The style and materials do not appear to be modern. However, we can't interpret the data stamp print inside the lower left side (see photo). It's badly faded. We did receive one opinion that this is post-ww2, so we have priced this accordingly. There is writing on the left interior breast pocket (possibly a name katya which would indicate a female soldier).
The metal insignia on the collar tab is that of pioneer ro engineer troop units. This tunic appears to be complete, with all buttons and the metal clolar closure. It obviously has seen service (there is fraying fo a corner or two), but there is no real damage or odor. It's veyr wearable. It is now against russian law to remove uniforms & similar items of older vintage from russia they are considered national treasure by law. Therefore, the availability of items like this may be severely limited. We are downsizing for health reasons, so we are continuing to list some rare and seldom-seen items! oN reserve!
